The 2016 Grand National & World Championship Morgan Horse Show is our pinnacle for the year, and our team is ready to rock and roll when they hit the tanbark here in October. The classes were huge and our horses performed incredibly well. Enjoying a terrific Reserve World Champion title in the Open Western Pleasure division was SpiceOLife Rightful Heir, Don and Mary Geisler's impressive young stallion with Rick in the saddle. Finishing in the Top Five in Grand National Western Pleasure Mares as well as Ladies Amateur Mare was RJMF Belle Of The Blvd and Anne Morgan-Flynt. Annie also finished a very impressive Top Ten in the World Champion Western Pleasure Amateur with her four year old gelding, RJMF Pictaire This. Another outstanding entry of the Morgan Horse Farm, Zeppelynn, earned a Reserve Grand National Championship in the Four Year Old Mare division with Rick. Brenda Matusik's tall, dark and handsome OTM Keeper Of The Stars was the Three Year Old Western Pleasure Reserve World Champion after earning the Three Year Old Stallion & Gelding Grand National Championship. All in all, a wonderful finish to our 2016 show season!
Summer's End 2016 is a fun, local show for us in Ocala. Making his debut appearance was New York Legend, owned by Stonegate Saddlebreds, a beautiful winning entry in the ASB Open Country Western Pleasure with Rick. Zeppelynn, the beautiful entry of Morgan Horse Farm, was capably catch-ridden by Kris Cole to win the Morgan Ladies Western Pleasure. Oklahoma here we come!

Anne Morgan-Flynt and her young RJMF Pictaire This had a great ride in the Western Pleasure Amateur Section B, a huge class of tremendous quality, earning them a third place. The Jubilee Regional is next on our schedule and we look forward to the great competition in Springfield, IL!

Right behind her was Rick with the Matusik's nice three year old gelding, OTM Keeper Of The Stars. In the Western Pleasure Junior Horse Championship it was Anne Morgan-Flynt's beautiful mare Zeppelynn taking the tricolors with Rick up, while Annie piloted Pictaire This for the Reserve Championship, the same placing these two enjoyed in the Junior Horse qualifier. Next on the travel schedule is the highly competitive Gold Cup Regional!
Our deepest condolences to our friend and client, Marti Lockwood, on the loss of her beautiful champion ASB Western Pleasure horse, Arrowhead's Captain Morgan (Periaptor x Harlem's Town Beauty). After beginning a winning season with tricolors at the Tampa Charity, Citrus Cup and Dixie Cup, Captain was diagnosed with a severe and rare form of kidney cancer. Our thanks to the veterinarians at Ocala Equine Veterinary Specialty Clinic for their help in diagnosing and caring for this special horse and for helping him over the Rainbow Bridge.
The Dixie Cup Classic is always a well run show in a beautiful venue, and we enjoyed a great show with six horses in our presentation. Beth Oliver and Soquili's Midnight Express LLC won the ASB Country Western Pleasure qualifier. Linda Braddon and Rowenda Tout Fini (Futurity French Command x Dimicas Duplikate) made it a blue ribbon ride in the Western Pleasure Junior/Novice Horse. Stacey Resler and Jim Little's new ride, Hollybrook Boy Toy (Pondview Tres Bien x Hollybrook Duchess), turned in a sweet performance for a reserve in the Morgan Western Pleasure Open (pictured right). STOP Don & Mary Geisler's beautiful SpiceOLife Rightful Heir (SpiceOLife Right Answer x LCS She's A Pistol) made a clean sweep of the Open Western Pleasure division taking a blue in the Stallion/Geldings qualifier and top honors in the Championship. King-E Stable's WVS Midnite Glory (TB Midnite Summer's Dream x CSA Morning Glory) continued to jog into the spotlight as the winner of the Western Pleasure Mares and Western Pleasure Gentlemen classes. Natalie Maloof and her gorgeous palomino gelding Ancan Color Guard (Ancan True Colors x Devonwood Decadence) are beginning to hit their mark and turned in two excellent red ribbon rides in the Western Pleasure Ladies Amateur and Western Pleasure Amateur Masters classes. Robert Morgan's homebred World Champion RJMF Zappa (ZZ Top x Riesca) warmed up his 2016 season with a win in Western Pleasure Junior Horse. We're just a few short weeks away from the Dixie Cup Classic, and we'll have a couple of new faces to share!

Congratulations to Cindy Becker and new trainer/agent Hallmark Farms on their purchase of World Champion HOLLYBROOK TOUCHE (Futurity French Command x Bery Banke Arboria)! We're sure Susan Morey and Mallory Mignot will enjoy pairing up this new team for the 2016 season and we'll be railside cheering them on with every step. Best of luck from former owners Manasota Morgans LLC, Stacey Resler and Jim Little, Sarasota, FL.

The 2016 Tampa Charity Horse Show was an amazing event for both exhibitors and spectators. With record entries and barns attending from as far north as Ohio, this was definitely the place to be in March. Beth Oliver and Soquili's Midnight Express LLC turned in three great rides and came home with ASB Country Western Pleasure Reserve Champion honors, as well as a red ribbon in both the ASB Country Western Pleasure qualifier and the ASB Shatner Western Pleasure. Hot on her heels in the two qualifiers for John & Leah Monte was Alyssa Williams aboard Mountjoy's Black Betty. King-E Stable's stunning black mare WVS Midnite Glory proved she's figured it all out by taking Rick to the top of the Morgan Western Pleasure Championship and the Morgan Western Pleasure Open. Another newcomer to the western pleasure scene, Robert Morgan's beautiful mare Zeppelynn made a flawless ride in the Morgan Western Pleasure Junior/Novice Horse. Rick also had Ancan Color Guard in perfect form for Jim & Natalie Maloof, earning a reserve in the Open to All Breeds Western Pleasure Championship after earning a blue in the OTAB Western Pleasure qualifier. Next stop... Citrus Cup Regional in April!
Our 2016 show season started off with a bang at the Jubilee of Breeds Show in Newberry, Florida, in February. Several new faces debuted under the RG banner, including King-E Stable's beautiful WVS Midnite Glory, who handled the chilly weather with two solid rides with Rick to earn the OTAB Western Pleasure Championship and the qualifier.
Also making her first appearance in silver was Robert Morgan's stylish mare RJMF Belle of the Blvd, who topped a competitive Western Pleasure Mares class. New to RG, but not to Western Pleasure, the beautiful entry of Linda Braddon, Rowenda Tout Fini, carried his owner to a tricolor victory pass in
the Western Pleasure Amateur/Jr Exhibitor Championship. Rick also enjoyed two nice rides on Ancan Color Guard for Jim & Natalie Maloof, taking a reserve in Open Western Pleasure, then coming back for the top spot in the Open Western Pleasure Championship. Finally, the elegant black entry of Leah & John Monte, Mountjoy's Black Betty, won the ASB Open Country Western Pleasure with Rick in the saddle. We're all looking forward to warmer weather a couple of hours south in Tampa at the Tampa Charity Show in March!
It was a very good year... We recently received the news that SP REMINGTON wrapped up his incredible 2015 show season as Saddle Horse Report's Reserve Champion High Point Open Western Pleasure for 2015 before heading home to Colorado for a much needed break. Also racking up the points in 2015 was Robert J Morgan's RJMF ZAPPA, who was the Reserve Champion High Point Western Pleasure Junior Horse. Congratulations to Marilyn Esteb and the Morgan Family!
SP REMINGTON became the poster boy at Berrettini Feed Specialists in Ocala, where Gervasio Pleasure Horses keeps their charges fueled up and healthy feeding Tribute Equine Nutrition. It's nice to see a beautiful Morgan horse featured on the hallowed walls of our feed store, where previously only the privileged Thoroughbreds, Quarter Horses and Hunter/Jumper types were featured! Special thanks to our friends at Berrettini for recognizing this beautiful boy's accomplishments.
